This small, resinous shrub has an extensive root system and grows on rocky outcrops in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the North West. It lies dormant for up to nine months, regenerating to a flourishing green at the first spot of rain — earning it the nickname "zombie plant."
Our Resurrection Bush is sourced from Zimbabwe, where it grows more prolifically in the cracks and crags of the landscape, and where harvesting and oil steam distillation are more established bringing our Southern African neighbouring roots into our range.
FRAGRANCE
Fresh and camphoraceous, with a bright, medicinal-green herbaceous quality reminiscent of eucalyptus. Crisp and invigorating, with a dry, woody undertone.
