Cape Chamomile has a distinctive honeyed, fruity aroma with notes of ripe apple and apricot, soft florals, and a warm, herbaceous dry-down. Unlike Roman or German Chamomile, its striking blue colour comes from chamazulene, a compound also found in German Chamomile and formed during distillation. Hand-harvested from the wild fynbos of the Western Cape, Cape Chamomile yields relatively little oil per harvest, making it one of the rarer and more precious oils in our range.
